JAE is taking this year's Haitian Flag Day Celebration outdoors! Join Jean Appolon, the JAE Team and dynamic live drummers to celebrate this important day in Haitian history. The event will include a welcoming circle to see, breathe and connect with our community members in a safe and powerful way. The dance class will include a dynamic warm-up, a chance to stretch and build core strength and a series of Haitian dance moves accompanied by live Haitian drumming that will get your heart racing. Movement is designed for all ages and abilities, making it accessible for all. Wear your blue and red and bring your Haitian flags!
The class will highlight the Haitian Folkloric rhythms of Yanvalou, Congo, and Ibo.
This class will be held at Magazine Beach in Cambridge, MA and the exact location details will be sent in your registration receipt. In the case of inclement weather, an email will be sent with class access details.
