The turn of late summer to early fall brings with it new beginnings, a series of "firsts". From the first fall maple leaf to that first bite of pumpkin pie to gathering ripe apples, we are invited to enjoy many new moments. Haiku nature poetry takes us more deeply into these moments and gives us a chance to write about them as well. In this course, we will learn about haiku, its form and structure, and write haiku about these new beginnings using a fun, easy prompt. Each participant will receive a copy of the instructor's latest book and a small writing handbook. All are invited to this course.
