Whether you're a complete beginner or a self-taught guitarist, don't miss this rare opportunity to learn from Maestro Dr Bekkers, conductor of the Boston Guitar Orchestra. Get a firm grip on playing the guitar, build a solid foundation in six consecutive 1.5 hour classes (except Patriot's Day on April 15th) from March 11 to April 22. You will become efficient in note reading and play with confidence. Focus is on good technique and playing music together.
This is the first time such a course is being offered to the public at large. Register online. Registration closes February 22, 2019.
Instructor:
Robert Bekkers earned his Doctorate in Musical Arts (DMA) in classical guitar at the New England Conservatory under Eliot Fisk. He is the guitar instructor at Gordon College, South Shore Conservatory, and Yamaha Music School. Dr Bekkers is a resident artist at the Walter Baker Artist Lofts in Historic Lower Mills in Dorchester, Massachusetts. He has extensive experience in coaching able amateur guitarists.
