Kick off the Esplanade’s FREE Riverfront Music Series, GroundBeat, at Community Day!


Celebrate the arrival of spring with a free concert at the Hatch Memorial Shell on May 31 from 4:00–7:00pm. This special Community Day performance is produced by ZUMIX, celebrating 35 Years of Youth Empowerment, as part of the Esplanade Association’s GroundBeat Concert Series.


Join us for an evening of live music from our young "sprouts", group programs, teen ensembles, and local alumni artists.


Bring a blanket, your dancing shoes, and your crew. Come celebrate the joy of music, the power of community, and the rhythms that bring us all together. Enjoy vendor fair featuring free empanadas for the first 120 people from Bocadillos, slushies, lawn games and other family friendly activities. We will have a limited number of free picnic blankets and stadium seating chairs we can loan out during the event!
