Greg Loughman has been among the busiest bassists on the Boston jazz scene for many years, recognized as an “emphatically lyrical” player (Scott Albin, JazzTimes) and a versatile and sensitive accompanist who plays “with sublime authority” (Raul d’Gama Rose, AllAboutJazz.com) who “delivers not only the foundation, but also intriguing, melodic, cleanly stated solos” (Bill Donaldson, Cadence Magazine).
On 9/24, Greg will release his latest project as a leader/composer, RE:Connections, a musical meditation on the forces of division and possibilities for just connection. For the live show on 9/25, Greg has assembled a phenomenal band: Nick Brust on alto, Andy Voelker on tenor, Anastassiya Petrova on piano and Ilya Blazh on drums.
Virtuosity is an intimate space, and capacity will be limited and masks required. Advance tix advised. If we sell out the 7pm set ahead of time, we'll add another at 9. Don't wait!
