On Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 12pm EST, come join us for another fun, educational hour of grammar basics. Jackie Osterdahl, senior tutor at Prepped and Polished, is back to teach you the grammar basics you must know.
When developing a written piece, it is important to determine in advance what writing style is best suited for the topic. In other words, an awareness of style helps a writer identify the purpose of his or her own writing. Are you trying to convince an audience to agree with your point of view, or are you just trying to explain something you observed? This week’s grammar lecture will cover the three main types of academic writing—expository, argumentative, and analytical—and how to most effectively approach them!
Although this lesson is aimed for students in grades 4-7, anyone and everyone, including high school students preparing for college-readiness exams, can benefit from learning these grammar basics. This live lesson is free to the public. So join us this Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 12pm EST. We look forward to seeing you!
