Generation Activist

New to HUBweek this year, the Ideas Dome Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA will feature a series of more than four dozen sessions taking place across five days, exploring how we can build a more inclusive and equitable future.

The tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida gave voice to teen survivors who took a stand against gun violence and launched the nationwide March for Our Lives. Parents may have mixed feelings about their children's involvement in divisive issues like gun control, Black Lives Matter, immigration and climate change. Have our children lost their innocence? What about teens who aren't marching? Experts debate the benefits, risks, and impact of activism on adolescence in a world of 24/7 digital media.
