Join us for a joyous evening celebrating the opening of the Gardens of Resonance exhibition at Piano Craft Gallery. The evening will include music, interactive activities, and opportunities to talk to the artists about their work. Corey and the Teen Bridge Artists he worked with throughout the residency will showcase their work and hold a discussion around their artistic relationships with nature and how this experience has changed them.
Gardens of Resonance explores how the environment shapes our identity, experiences, and artistic voice, as well shape it back in turn. Corey and the Teen Bridge Artists engaged with values of home, community, memory, and activism through a series of site-to-studio workshops. The Teen Bridge Artists led these workshops with our community partners: the Arnold Arboretum, The Food Project, and City Sprouts. At each site, they used unique tactile media including cyanotype, botanical printing, and shibori with natural dyes to create textiles, which they ultimately used to collaboratively create a large-scale “Resonance Tapestry,” which is the centerpiece of the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to the public from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, on Friday from 6 to 8 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 PM.
