G'25: Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival

The Gilman Square Neighborhood Council and the Somerville Arts Council invite you, your families, and friends to a great annual end-of-summer event whose mission is to shine a light on the vibrant, eclectic, and diverse creative culture of the often-overlooked Gilman Square neighborhood of Somerville.

The Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival (the "G'25") will happen on Saturday, September 13th. (Rain date = Sunday 9/14.)

• 30+ artists and makers
• 10+ community groups & non-profits
• 9 food vendors spanning American, Indian, Salvadoran, Bangladeshi, Jamaican, Colombian, and Mediterranean cuisines (and world-class craft beer from Winter Hill Brewing Co.)
• 5 live bands
• 1 circus school
• Kids' activities include face painting, parachute games, gourd painting, and more.

Live music includes:

• 12 pm: The Goonie Birds - folk music for kids
• 1 pm: Weird Frenz - indie alternative
• 2 pm: Dead Flowers - psych country 
• 3 pm: Bent Luck - pop-punk, rock
• 4 pm: FM Collective - pan-latin reggaeton/hip hop

Getting there: Parking is very limited in the neighborhood. Please consider biking or walking. Or take the MBTA Green E line to the Gilman Square Stop. The Festival is just across the tracks.
