On Saturday, June 9th, 7:30 pm, join us St. John's to begin the countdown to summer. Our concert features The Fulani Haynes Jazz Collaborative, with Fulani M. Haynes, Vocalist;
Alvin Terry, Percussionist; Earl Lawrence, Sax & Flute; Max Whiting, Acoustic Bass; and
Michael Shea, Keyboardist. Whether jamming, swinging, or rocking, or even reading Langston Hughes poetry, which they have been known to do, the group's beat, the movement, and the vocalized stylings will inspire you. Opening will be String Madness--the father-son duo of Fred Woodard Jr. and Fred III. Doors open at 7:15 and the performance starts at 7:30. The concert is kid friendly, and benefits the Arlington Food Pantry and the Housing Corp. of Arlington (affordable housing). Please remember to bring good-date nonperishables to donate to the food pantry. Tickets, discounts, and more information about this exciting jazz group at fulanihaynes.bpt.me. Examples of their music at fulanihaynes.net. Questions? Contact [email protected] or 781-648-4819.
