Whether finding food or protecting one another, many of the animals living at Franklin Park Zoo depend on their family dynamics to survive. Did you know prairie dogs have unique “barks” to warn their colony of predators, or that ring-tailed lemurs keep their tails raised like flags to keep group members together when traveling?
Watch as lemurs indulge in a festive holiday feast of their own as we celebrate the bonds that keep them together. We'll have enrichment treats for more animals, and scheduled zookeeper chats for guests throughout the day.
Guests are invited to add a paper feather to our Friendsgiving turkey by writing down something they're grateful for, as well as make a take-home turkey craft. In the spirit of Friendsgiving, guests can also make their own friendship bracelets to wear!
Like your favorite characters from the Wild West, our animal friends from the wild kingdom stick together through thick and thin. Come meet your favorite cowboy and cowgirl and learn about the bonds that bring us all together-- animal, human and doll alike. Be sure to say hello and enjoy a photo opp!

10:30 a.m. – Ring-tailed lemur keeper chat
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Students from Codman Academy Charter Public School’s grades 1-4 have been learning songs about animals all year, and they're excited to share their singing voices! Hear old favorites like ‘Down By The Bay’ and ’The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ along with fun new songs like ’The Marvelous, Adventurous, Fabulous, Wondermous Zoo!
