Fresh Dance Friday with Gisela Creus and Danielle Davidson

Fresh Dance Friday is an informal, free performance series at Green Street Street Studios. It provides local artists the opportunity to show work in progress and receive feedback, as well as a casual welcoming environment for dance audiences new and old to see new dances, ask questions and make connections.

Navigating the space between identity and identification, between observing oneself as an individual and among structures and systems, this quest explores the states, stages, and experiences one negotiates in an ever expanding universe.

Gisela Creus is a dancer, educator and choreographer with an international and interdisciplinary interest. She graduated with a dance diploma in Barcelona and moved on to Laban Centre in London where she earned her bachelor’s degree with honours in dance-theater. She has worked for different Dance companies like Moreno Bernardi Dance Company, Cia.Color Dansa, Marie-Gabrielle Roti Productions, Vbuit and has presented more than 10 professional pieces of work as choreographer/performer both individually and collaboratively. She is also a founder of NunArt, a creative practices association for artists in Barcelona and has been teaching dance for over 8 years; from beginners to professionals.

Danielle Davidson is a dancer, choreographer, and educator who has performed, taught, and been commissioned to create works in Europe and North America. She has danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Opera Ontario, and the Banff Festival Company, among others. Davidson earned her D.E.C. from L'Ecole Supérieure de Danse du Québec, in 2001. She performs regularly with project-based companies in New England, and is in her 4th season with Prometheus Dance. She is an Assistant Professor at The Boston Conservatory, and the Co-Director of Doppelgänger Dance Collective. https://www.danielledavidson. net/
