Historic New England’s annual FREE Open House is Saturday, June 7!


Enjoy a day of fantastic storytelling from architecture and fine art to New Englanders of the past. The Lyman Estate features the mansion, beautiful grounds, and historic greenhouses.

Mansion: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Greenhouse: 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Landscape: Dawn - 2:00 p.m.

About the Lyman Estate

The thirty-seven acres include beautifully preserved gardens and historic greenhouses. Hear the story of over 150 years of history at the mansion, which is used today as a venue for weddings and corporate events. Its architectural features include a graceful oval parlor and elegant ballroom, which can be seen in the 2019 film adaptation of Little Women.
