Some writers create unforgettable stories in known spaces, whilst others build whole new worlds for their readers to explore. What will you choose to do?
In this hour-long Location Writing Workshop, we'll read excerpts from various genres and consider how they explore place and location. Then we'll take the time to write our own pieces with an opportunity to share work at the end and receive feedback from fellow writers. We create a friendly and low-pressure writing environment and welcome everyone, from experienced wordsmiths to those just starting out!
The workshop is open to young adults anywhere in the world who want to develop their writing and meet like-minded people. You will receive an email a few days before the workshop with the Zoom link. You will also receive email updates and news about related opportunities. The session is FREE and open to all young adult writers, so register now: https://info.writetheworld.org/alumni-free-writing-workshops
What To Expect: The workshop will last an hour with roughly 25 minutes of reading and discussion, followed by 20 minutes of individual writing time and 15 minutes to share your work. Attendees can choose whether to have their cameras and mics on, and sharing writing with the rest of the group is optional. If you have any questions or require adjustments in order to participate, please reach out at [email protected]!
Write the World is a nonprofit organization and we rely on donations in order to keep many of our programs free! Please consider making a small donation here to support our mission and help out more writers like you.
