FREE & OPEN to the PUBLIC! The Learning in Retirement Association (Affiliated with UMass Lowell) has free Winter Intersession classes for retirees. Classes will take place over Jan & Feb 2019.

1. On the Road with #45 - Jonathan Lemire, AP White House Reporter and MSNBC Political Analyst will talk about his career in Journalism & traveling with the President.
2. Chateau Lydia: Adventures in Wine Making in New England. Professor Bob Gamache talks about his experiences of building a vineyard in Dunstable, MA.
3. Book Discussion Group, American Pastoral, fiction by Philip Roth & The Soul of America: The Battle for our Better Angels.
4. Climate Change: What We're Up Against and What You Can Do About It, Rick Lent, Ph.D. and Grady McGonagill, Ed.D.

LIRA is a multi-faceted educational program for the retired that has been affiliated with the University of Massachusetts, Lowell for 30 years. The program is designed by the members to promote intellectual and cultural interest within a university setting. Everyone is welcome. The much expanded regular semester classes for LIRA members will begin in March 2019.
