#DouglassWeek 2025 opens with remarks and a wreath laying to honor the Civil War service of Frederick Douglass and his sons, Charles and Lewis. Featuring Douglass descendants, Rep. Rob Consalvo, Sen. Michael Rush, MA Poet Laureate Regie Gibson, the Massachusetts 54th Regiment reenactors, and community leaders, the free public event will also include a Reading Frederick Douglass Together opportunity supported by a grant from Mass Humanities.
