Start your Thanksgiving Day with a run or walk on the beautiful paths of our “ crown jewel” of the Emerald Necklace, Franklin Park! The scenic 3.1 mile (5k) route includes the most beautiful and historic views of the park. All ages and paces welcome! Strollers and race-ready leashed dogs are welcome! The event is chip timed and there are great prizes for fast finishers and costumes!

The annual Turkey Trot event supports the Franklin Park Coalition’s programs and events: woodlands restoration, youth programs, fitness activities and more year-round.

Race day number pick up starts at 8 am at the golf clubhouse:

Number pick up and in-person registration:
Once again we plan to offer number pick up and registration Wednesday evening Nov 21st. Time and place to be confirmed. Please note that race day registration may be limited or we may sell out!.
Parking:
Ample parking in Franklin park at the golf club house, along Circuit Drive, in the parking lot across the street, and in the circle by the exit towards Blue Hill Ave. There's additional parking .3 miles down Circuit Drive in an additional parking lot and by the zoo rear entrance.
Course:
The 2018 course will be finalized in collaboration with the Parks Dept to accommodate ongoing path improvements work. For reference, see the 2017 route: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1855583363
Restrooms:
The golf clubhouse will be open, but be advised that the bathrooms only have a few stalls. We will have porta-potties as well. Leave plenty of time in case there is a line.
Bag Check:
We will not have bag check, sorry.

Please be aware that the condition of the pathway surfaces varies.
Awards & Results:
We’ll have awards for the male and female overall winners, age group first place winners, and for runners in the best costumes, the fastest dog, and fastest stroller at approximately 9:50 inside the clubhouse.
