Bring friends or make friends while we learn to frost, pipe, and prepare flowers to create beautiful floral cakes. Each person will bring home a 5-inch chocolate cake decorated with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream (a silky, not-too-sweet frosting) and fresh flowers. Everyone will get hands on instruction from a trained pastry chef and be able to practice traditional and playful piping/lettering techniques on parchment until you feel confident, so beginners are welcomed and encouraged to sign up! -Some of the photos above are cakes I have made that serve as examples of designs and techniques you will learn to use, but not all are the exact size/shape of the cakes that will be made in at this event. The 5 inch cakes can be seen in images from the past workshops. -Flowers available at the event will depend on the season, but we will always have a wide variety of species and colors! -This is a peanut and tree nut free experience. Please let us know of any allergies in advance. This workshop does not currently accommodate for allergies to wheat, milk, or eggs.
