The Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMAA) of Lowell, Inc. and partner organizationS are hosting a significant free community event - the film screening of the renowned book turned movie “First They Killed My Father” (FTKMF) which documents the real-life account of surviving siblings during the Khmer Rouge reign of terror, written and directed by Luong Ung and actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie. The film screening will take place on December 9, 2017 at the Lowell High School Auditorium from 2-5PM EST. Following the film screening is a live panel discussion which includes, Sophy Theam (Moderator), a community organizer; Chrisna Khuon, youth community organizer; Thida Leoung, an educator and Rithy Panh, producer-“First They Killed My Father” and filmmaker.
Followed by a post celebration event at Pailin City.
