A First Day Hike is a fun way to start off the new year with an invigorating hike in a beautiful state park, and also make a resolution to burn off those extra holiday calories!
Join staff from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), the National Park Service (NPS) and Boston Harbor Now for a scenic 1.6 mile walk along a portion of Boston’s Harbor Walk up to the NPS’s Dorchester Heights. Visitors will learn about the site’s fortification in the revolutionary war. Meet at DCR’s Carson Beach Bathhouse at 11:45 a.m.
Be prepared for cold weather by dressing in layers and wearing winter boots. Carson Beach is located on Day Boulevard, South Boston. Carson Beach is t-accessible. Take the Red Line to JFK/UMass and walk down William J. Day Boulevard.
