The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum offers the perfect winter respite over February school vacation where you can experience the four-story Renaissance-styled Palace blooming with orchids, jade plants, and other flowering plants, and there are special events planned for children.
From Monday, Feb. 15 through Friday, Feb. 19, children ages 7 and up are invited to explore hidden treasures at the Museum all week long – except for Tuesday, Feb. 16 when the Museum is closed. There will be a special family-friendly hunt for treasures throughout the historic Palace. In the Art Studio, young visitors can build miniature shadow boxes. On Wednesday, students from the New England Conservatory of Music will perform in Calderwood Hall. Activities are designed for ages 7 and up.
The Gardner Museum was recently selected as BostonCentral Editor’s Pick Award Winner for service to parents and families in the Greater Boston area.
Tickets to the Museum are $15 for adults; $12 for seniors; and $5 for college students. Admission is free to visitors under 18, Museum members, and members of the US military and their families. Children under 12 must be accompanies by a paying adult.
