Many of us feel embarrassed to talk about financial vulnerability but we shouldn’t be! This interactive session will guide individual artists in thinking about both the practical (emergency funds, safety net programs, debt management, taxes, negotiating with lenders) and offer resources to help freelance artists.
This event is free, but capped at 25 attendees. You will recieve the Zoom link for the event after registering.
This event is the second in a four-part series led by Ngoc-Tran Vu. Ngoc-Tran Vu (she/her) is a Vietnamese-American interdisciplinary artist and organizer whose socially engaged work draws from her experience as a community organizer, educator, and healer.
Tran threads her social practice through photography, painting, sculpture and audio so that her art can resonate and engage audience with intentionality. She received her MA in Arts and Politics at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and her BA in Ethnic Studies and Visual Arts at Brown University. Tran works across borders and is based in Boston’s Dorchester community.
Tran's other workshops this month are on creative resiliency during crisis, promoting your creative practice through social media, and data in the digital world. Check out Tran's work at tranvuarts.com.
