Come one, come all to the final figure skating show at the oldest ice rink in the WORLD!
Matthews Arena has been a staple of Boston's Fenway area since 1909, and is established as the oldest indoor ice rink in the world. Originally known as the Boston Arena, Northeastern purchased and renamed it to Matthews in 1979. Since then, it has been home to all of Northeastern's ice sports.
Due to its age and fragility, Matthews is going to be closed down after December 5th, and will be closed until after extended construction. However, the Northeastern University Figure Skating Team will be hosting its final show at Matthews before the closing on December 3rd. We would love to pull the Boston community together to celebrate the history that Matthews holds!
Tickets to the show are presented in the event website. Tickets online are $8, and $10 at the door. It is going to be a fun event, so dress warm and festive.
