This formerly banned 1967 film is a stark and graphic portrayal of the conditions and treatment within the State Prison for the Criminally Insane at Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Reconstructed in 1975, the facility run by the Massachusetts Department of Correction is now known as Bridgewater State Hospital.
