The Fierce Urgency of Now Festival brings Boston’s diverse young professionals together with business leaders, organizations and their peers to build connection, advance careers and ignite positive change. With dozens of events held across spaces throughout the city, the festival offers opportunities to engage in peer networking and intimate discussion, expert-led professional development and inspiring talks from today’s thought leaders.
In his stirring speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of “the fierce urgency of now” — the pressing need for immediate action and lasting change in the face of racial injustice. Standing atop the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, he envisioned an America transformed by freedom, unity and equal opportunity. Over half a century later, the Fierce Urgency of Now Festival strives to carry Dr. King’s message and mission forward by forging a more equitable, inclusive future for Greater Boston.
For 2021, the festival will offer a mix of virtual and in-person experiences that adhere to local safety protocols.
Hosted by City Awake and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
