The Afrika Gente Trio specializes in innovative Afro-Latin Caribbean and Jazz music. The trio is led by the award-winning percussionist, dancer, producer and recording artist, Cornell Coley. The Adrika Gente Trio promises an afternoon of reflective and soulful music.

Cornell has versatile percussion skills and experience traveling worldwide to perform in festivals. He is a gifted performer and dancer and has toured with “Uclatino” band in Mexico and the “Bodytjak” Indonesian-American troup. Cornell has started many programs focused on promoting the arts. This includes his work in Therapeutic Drumming, promoting Toddler Drumming, and producing the “Women in Latin Jazz Series.” In 2015, Cornell even presented a Tedx talk on Drumming in the Brain.
