Fall, the time of year when you channel your “inner-basic” to embrace sweater season, apple-picking, the foliage and, of course, hard ciders. On October 1, City Tap House will transform into a fully decorated indoor/outdoor dream orchard brimming with fruits so sweet that you’ll postpone that trip up north. With an 11-deep tap takeover featuring ciders from Far from the Cider Tree, Bantam, Citizen, Snowdrift, Cider Creek and more, the autumn delight continues with a housemade Apple Cider Sangria served with an apple cider donut ($14). From the kitchen, there is an Apple Pie Pizza with glazed apples and cinnamon atop hand-stretched dough, finished with cobbler crumble and a vanilla glaze ($15) and a Cider-Marinated Pork Tenderloin grilled to perfection, topped with an apple cider glaze served with potato and seasonal vegetable ($18).
And because no fall festival is complete without it, relive your childhood by partaking in City Tap’s bobbing for apples contest. The Royal Furs also will be in the house from 5-8pm for a live set.
