Join Read My Lips Boston, Massachusetts’ diverse romance pop-up bookstore, for a virtual event with Alice Murphy, author of the buzzy historical romance novel A Showgirl's Rules for Falling in Love! Decadent attire encouraged — think sparkles, feathers, fringe, caftans, hats, boas, you name it!
To celebrate the release of her debut novel, Murphy will chat with the co-founders of Read My Lips about plus-size representation in historical romance, disability advocacy, and more. Additionally, this virtual event will feature:
💚 Q&A with Murphy
💚 Trivia about burlesque, drag, and vaudeville highlighting big-bodied, BIPOC, queer, and disabled performers throughout history
💚 The chance to win a $10 Bookshop.org gift card. The winner will be announced at the end of the virtual event and all registrants are eligible.

10% of the proceeds from this event will go to the Ink & Impact writing fellowship led by Page & Parlor and Lavender Education.

About Alice Murphy:
Alice Murphy is the pen name for a bestselling author and disability advocate from the South. A university lecturer, a disability rights advocate, and a lover of classic Hollywood movies and cheesesteaks, she also writes romance novels, television, and films under her given name.
