Please join Winchester Community Music School for our first Faculty Concert of the 2024-2025 season featuring the Sempervirens Ensemble at. Four virtuoso recorder players (Heloise Degrugillier, Dan Meyers, Emily O’Brien, and Roy Sansom) will present a program which comprises music from the 14th century to the present. Works will include Baroque keyboard pieces, a medieval Estampie, one of Ligiti’s Bagatelles for Wind Quintet, the scherzo from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a short piano prelude by Prokofiev, and more. The members of the ensemble felt they simply had to create arrangements to play these compelling pieces. Free admission; the program will be held in-person at WCMS and also streamed live on our YouTube and Facebook pages.
