As we celebrate Disability Pride Month at the Museum of Science, join us for a powerful evening featuring a screening of Facing the Falls, an award-winning short documentary that follows international disability rights advocate Cara Yar Khan on a breathtaking and deeply personal journey through the Grand Canyon.


Directed by Celia Aniskovich and executive produced by Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, Facing the Falls captures Cara as she embarks on a daring 12-day expedition while living with a progressive, muscle-wasting disease that is steadily taking her mobility. What unfolds is more than a physical challenge—it is an exploration of courage, vulnerability, trust, and what it means to live fully in the face of uncertainty.


Set against the vast and unforgiving landscape of the canyon, the film documents both the external dangers of the expedition and the internal struggles faced by Cara and her team.
