The maker showcase will celebrate the diversity of innovation and the community of makers, businesses, and artists that are living, and working in the greater Somerville area. The maker curious, families, youth, and anyone interested in learning the latest about maker technology are invited to attend, free of charge, on Thursday, May 19th, 5 pm - 9 pm. Check out our CNC, 3D printers, and laser cutter tool demonstrations, our merchants and organizations area showcasing local products and services, a robot driving area from the Somerville High School First Robotics Team, and a speaker series to discuss cutting-edge technology and design. Attendees can also win a 3D printer!

FabVille is Somerville's city-run digital fabrication maker space housed at Somerville High school. During the day, students enrolled in physics and engineering classes utilize the space, and in the evening, FabVille opens up to the community to provide classes, project-based learning opportunities, and access to rapid prototyping tools, free of charge.
