This memoir shows how daily teachings and practices confused and controlled Carrie and her family into thinking they would be leaving God if they left the group. It is a gripping, sometimes heart-wrenching, story of how Carrie finally “woke up” to the damage that was being done, and realized that no matter how hard she tried, nothing was going to get any better.
