Executive function is an important issue for all children and their parents. Every child must learn how to plan, focus attention, follow instructions, and multitask, all of which can be difficult. Stress and academic anxiety can easily derail the executive function processes that are so important to our children’s academic success, self-regulation, and emotional well-being. In this talk, we will highlight the ways that academic anxiety can affect our children’s ability to cope with the demands of school, family, and friends. Parents will learn specific ways to help their children manage the stresses in their lives at home and at school, using fun and effective activities. This event is free and open to the public.
