Indulge your senses in this guided tasting of the world’s most extraordinary dessert wines. From lusciously sweet Sauternes and Tokaji to elegant Ice Wine and sparkling Moscato d’Asti, you’ll explore what sets these wines apart—and how their signature richness is crafted. We’ll uncover the three main methods winemakers use to concentrate sugar: drying grapes (like Recioto), encouraging noble rot, and harvesting frozen grapes. You’ll learn how each technique shapes the wine’s aroma, texture, and flavor—and how to recognize these traits in the glass. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with a mini-dessert to enhance the tasting experience. Instructor: David Gansler
