Featuring Alper Tuzcu on guitar, Bruce Gertz on bass, and Patrick Gaulin on drums
Singer-songwriter and pianist Eva Gertz hails from Melrose, Massachusetts and lived the past 5 years in Brooklyn, NY. Following an adventurous 5-month solo road-trip this summer, Boston is lucky to have her back to begin her new role as an assistant professor at Berklee College of Music this spring semester. Reflective, honest, relatable lyrics and a moody Joni Mitchell-informed writing style flow expressively like the characteristic curls atop her head. With training in classical piano from a young age, and a degree from Berklee, she demonstrates some impressive arranging and orchestration chops. Some songs take a groovy world fusion blend, while others are folksy or pop-driven; all are sure to move you in some way with incredibly powerful songwriting and an emotive vocal performance that tells a story.
