In association with the LabCentral Bookclub, the Literati, we are excited to invite you to, a film screening of, "Etched In Glass: The Legacy of Steve Ross". This screening will be followed by conversation and Q&A lead by the documentary maker, Roger Lyons and Julie Ross, the daughter of Steve Ross.


"Etched In Glass: The Legacy of Steve Ross" is the uplifting, true story of survival, tolerance and hope. A 9-year-old Polish boy, Steve Ross, was captured by the Nazis and endured 5 horrific years in 10 concentration camps. Upon his liberation from Dachau, an American soldier showed him kindness and compassion. This sparked his resilience, propelling him to dedicate his life to helping disadvantaged young people for over 40 years.


Ross was the driving force behind the iconic New England Holocaust Memorial on the Freedom Trail in Boston. All the while, he searched tirelessly for the soldier who changed the course of his life and the lives of thousands of people.


The film is more timely than ever today in the face of increasing hate, anti-Semitism and discrimination of minorities in the world. With survivors and liberators disappearing, it makes it even more critical to keep the memory and lessons of the Holocaust alive, and “Etched in Glass: The Legacy of Steve Ross” does just that. It will indeed bring moments of reflection moreover is an outstanding demonstration of true resilience. This is one event not to be missed!
