Why wait until New Year’s Eve to pop open a bottle of bubbly when you can indulge in
Global Champagne Day which is being celebrated this year on Friday, October 25th? This is THE day to not only celebrate with champagne, but to actually toast and celebrate all things champagne, even better with a cocktail that uses the effervescent wine.
Bambara Kitchen & Bar at Kimpton Marlowe Hotel is getting into the spirit by commemorating Global Champagne Day with a special cocktail called “Let It Linger,” made with Fords Gin, cranberry juice, lime and, of course, Prosecco. Adding cranberry juice inspired the cocktail’s name given "Linger" is a song by Irish alternative rock band the Cranberries from their debut studio album, “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?”
Bambara’s John Erdmann who created the cocktail says “the “Let It Linger” champagne cocktail is tart and bubbly at the same time, and the Fords Gin we use is bold and balanced by the Prosecco’s fizziness. It’s a festive nod to the holiday season that’s fast approaching and a great way to toast and celebrate any special moment, no matter how big or small. Everybody else is celebrating with champagne, so why can’t we?”
