This is about community control over land use, access to healthy food options and taking land out of the speculative market through a community land trust model. In the past weeks, REEP youth, members, volunteers and neighbors have gathered they ideas about the rearranging the raised beds, and installed rain barrels to install irrigation system, along with a vertical garden.
The Ellington garden is going a bit deeper to create a self-sustainable garden with alternate energy that helps residents invest more in enjoying the quality of life!

Today, more than 60 families have a Grow or Die garden, and with your help, we'll continue increasing access to healthy, affordable food in Roxbury and Dorchester. Of the 2,000 seedlings REEP youth organizers grows in The Food Project's greenhouse this year, we will distribute to Grow or Die gardeners and new ACE members at Jammn 4 Justice.
If you haven't volunteered with Grow or Die yet, there's still time!
Email REEP Coordinator Olmis Sanchez at [email protected] or call (617) 442-3343 x245 if you want to help at future builds.
Thanks to all whom share a couple hours, helping US with this effort never too late!
PEACE.
