Founding Down Under Iyengar Faculty Director and beloved teacher Peentz Dubble returns for two Fall workshops!
Sutra 2.47: “Perfection in an asana is achieved when the effort to perform it becomes effortless and the infinite being within is reached.” B.K.S. Iyengar
Once we have learned the basic mechanics of Urdhva Dhanurasana (Upward Bow Pose), how do we move beyond “brute force” effort, to begin to taste the “effortless effort” of which Patanjali speaks in Sutra 2.47? In this workshop, you will refine your discrimination in order to explore the nuances of “effort” as well as refine your relationship to “surrender”. HOW we practice is as important as WHAT we practice. And discriminately choosing what NOT to practice opens the door to deep change and transformation.
This workshop is for intermediate/advanced students. Participants should be able to practice all inversions as well as backbends.
Cost: $45
