FREE Opening Night Dance Party with Benn & Company
Benn & Company kicks off the Duxbury Music Festival with a free night of live music and dancing under the tent on the Duxbury Town Green. Led by award-winning vocalist Loren Benn and backed by top-tier musicians, this electrifying band brings dance-floor favorites to life, from Motown classics to the R&B and pop hits you know and love. Enjoy food trucks, a full bar, and plenty of room to dance on our festival dance floor. Open to the public and free to attend, this opening-night celebration is all about coming together through music. Grab a drink, enjoy something delicious, hit the dance floor, and help us launch the festival with an unforgettable community dance party!

In The Mood: The American Big Band Experience featuring Dan Gabel & His Orchestra
Step back into the golden age of swing as Dan Gabel and His Orchestra bring the unforgettable sound of the 1940s to life! Featuring timeless music made famous by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and many more, this concert captures the excitement of packed ballrooms, soaring brass, driving rhythms, and irresistible swing. An acclaimed trombonist, arranger, bandleader, and big-band historian, Gabel is celebrated for recreating the era with remarkable authenticity. From romantic ballads to dance-floor favorites, experience the music that defined a generation—performed live by one of New England’s premier big bands.

The Duxbury Music Festival opens its faculty concert series with a program exploring the beauty and power of musical simplicity. Through repeated patterns, spacious harmonies, and carefully chosen musical ideas, these works show how restraint can create music that is hypnotic, expressive, and deeply moving. Featuring music by John Adams, Dmitri Shostakovich, Steve Reich, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, and Wayne Shorter, *Less Is More* brings classical and jazz together for an evening that proves some of the most compelling music begins with the simplest ideas.

Let's Dance: From Minuet to Mambo

Presented inside the beautiful Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, this special concert brings music, movement, and visual art together in one inspiring setting.
