Join the Du Bois Orchestra as we continue to celebrate the 150th anniversary of W.E.B. Du Bois's birth. Under the baton of Nathaniel Meyer, the orchestra will perform an exciting program, featuring the world premiere of Sorrow Songs by Sachiko Murata; the piece is a newly commissioned work based on songs from the book “The Souls of Black Folk” by W.E.B Du Bois. We will also perform Tannhäuser Overture by Richard Wagner, Petite Suite de Concert by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and Symphony No. 8 by Franz Schubert. We would also like to thank our sponsor for this concert, Insomnia Cookies. Reserve your free tickets at duboisorchestra.eventbrite.com. We hope to see you there!
