First Church Somerville's Annual Drag Gospel Festival is not only a spectacularly fun and spiritually uplifting experience, it also quite literally HELPS SAVE THE LIVES OF MANY LGBT ASYLUM SEEKERS who would otherwise be faced with incarceration, assault, torture and/or execution in their native countries just for being LGBT.

Due to our current U.S. political climate with regard to immigration and refugee/asylum status, Drag Gospel Fest needs your help NOW MORE THAN EVER to help keep LGBT asylum seekers safe from deportation. Your tax-deductible donation significantly helps these very people remain safe here in the U.S. Please keep reading.

As a Jesus-loving, spiritual experience, Drag Gospel Fest has always been free admission to the public. This includes free entertainment on Saturday night and a full brunch after Drag Worship on Sunday. There are no ticket sales to generate revenue. Very little is actually donated to produce this 2-day event. In order to pay for the cost of such things as advertising, entertainment, food and beverage for 200 on Sunday WE RELY ENTIRELY ON YOUR KIND DONATION HERE ON THIS LINK... RIGHT NOW. PLEASE HELP.

Our goal on this fundraising link to pay for this 2-day event’s expenses is only $2,000. Our total fundraising goal to benefit the LGBT Asylum Support Task Force is $10,000. In order to reach this overall fundraising goal, we must first raise $2,000 for expenses. Please help us save lives and make Drag Gospel Fest 2017 the best yet!
