Five years ago, in a college dorm room, Ross and Tyler began making hard cider that tasted like the fresh pressed apple cider they grew up on. The guys have since graduated and moved the operation to Charlestown, but the philosophy stays the same. Fresh. Honest. Authentic. The Way cider Should Be.
Drop by Downeast Cider House on a Saturday or Sunday to take a tour (free!) sample from our taps (free!), drink a pint, grab a growler, snag some shwag, and poke around. We're located literally under the Tobin bridge in Charlestown.
Due to a strict capacity restriction of 48 people inside the building, we turned our shitty parking lot into a hang-worthy cider garden, complete with bangin' views of the Tobin and a tiny bit of the Boston skyline.
You can get $5 full pours (price includes a koozie) or a growler, and shelter under our handsome, Downeast-branded tents. Not to mention the finest plastic seating, sweet Spotify jams, and immersive bar games like corn hole (what an unfortunate name for such a fun game).
If the journey here wasn't adventurous enough for you, try our weekly Project Nektar cider infusion. Check our website for weekly updates. http://downeastcider.com/tours/ontap/
