Daniel Doura – Summer Dreams, a World Premiere dedicated to the Boston Civic Symphony

Puccini – Arias from La Bohème, Act I

Prokofiev – Romeo and Juliet

Passion will be the theme of the Boston Civic Symphony's winter concert featuring recent finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Gabriella Reyes de Ramírez, alongside tenor Joshua Collier, performing arias from Puccini’s beloved La Bohème. The afternoon will begin with the world premiere of Argentinian composer Daniel Doura’s Summer Dreams. The final piece will be Prokofiev’s powerful Romeo and Juliet.

About the Orchestra:
Founded in 1924, the Civic is the city’s second oldest orchestra and one of the area’s most respected musical organizations. The orchestra takes great pride in its focus on showcasing the talents of exceptionally gifted young musicians, many of whom have gone on to distinguished professional careers. An endowment by the late James Powers offers local music students the opportunity to perform with the orchestra. The other valuable members of the orchestra are established professionals and skilled amateurs who come from all walks of life.
