Join Discovering Justice on Thursday, June 7, 2018 as we celebrate Discovering Justice's legacy of civic education and raise funds to empower and inspire the next generation of changemakers.
As we gather to celebrate Discovering Justice's 20th anniversary, we are thrilled to honor the Boston Globe's Spotlight Team with our 2018 Champion of Justice award. Founded in September 27, 1970, the Spotlight Team has investigated and reported on more than 100 stories, prompting meaningful conversations in communities throughout Massachusetts. We commend the Spotlight Team for calling attention to issues that matter and for modeling the values we seek to instill in the next generation of democratic leaders.
The mission of Discovering Justice is to prepare young people to value the justice system, realize the power of their own voices, and embrace civic responsibility by connecting courtrooms and classrooms. Our annual gala is our premiere fundraising event, netting more than $400,000 annually. This year’s event holds particular significance, as 2018 marks our twentieth anniversary, as well as a time of heightened visibility for issues surrounding civic education in the United States.
Individual tickets are $300, and sponsorships range from $1,000 - $50,000.
