Most countries in the world have Chinatown and each country has its own history and different ways of operating. We’ll start with the first section of Around the World and London Chinatown. Then, you can continue learning about Boston Chinatown and Bangkok Chinatown. We’ll talk about history, culture, and food through pre-recorded videos, behind-the-scene stories, and interactive games. After each section, you'll receive the recipe packet of some dishes we explore during the class.
In this Dinner in Chinatown: Boston section, Join Jacqueline, a long-time resident of this neighborhood and learn about history, culture, and tradition of Boston’s Chinatown. Boston’s Chinatown is one of the most vibrant Chinese communities in the US after New York City and San Francisco. Whether it’s dim sum, Vietnamese pho, or delicious dumplings, Chinatown in Boston is a hidden food treasure. Throughout this online interactive class, we’ll also explore restaurants, herbal medicine shops, markets, and interesting stores. Instructor: Jacqueline Church
