On November 14th, Harvard creative writing professors Louis Menand, Laura van den Berg, Musa Syeed, Sam Marks, and Josh Bell will join members of the Advocate in a panel discussion on defining genre––what it means to label a work, how genres borrow from one another, and what separates one type of writing from another. We will also be talking about creative writing at large at Harvard and the writer's life (both private and public). There will be a brief question and answer period after the panel discussion. All are welcome to attend and light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
