David Champagne (Antidote, Agnostic Gospel, Treat Her Right, Shane Champagne Band) and Mark Chenevert (Willie Alexander, Hypnotic Clambake, Limbo Race) have been active in Boston’s music scene since the 1970s. Champagne’s songs, variously described as “nitty-gritty but not always pretty” and “beautiful,” are eloquently burnished by Chenevert’s clarinet.
