Dancing at Somerville Porchfest '23

Do you love dancing? How about dancing to live music?

If so, join us as we trot around Somerville Porchfest and dance to fantastic music. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1 (12 - 2 pm): Birds Already or Zedervan

2 (2 - 4 pm): Hot Molasses, Hot Sauce Rhythm and Blues, or Lunatic Neighbors

3 (4 - 6 pm): T and the Wrecks, Extraño, or Midnight Motion

Acts happen concurrently during each time slot, so choose one or hop around between them. See the pin post for the Google Maps link and map of the bands listed.

• Birds Already (23 Gorham St) - "We hope our music pats you on the head like a little doggy. New England funk-rock straight from our bodies to your ears."
• Zedervan (213 Holland St) - "Zedervan is an Indie Americana trio from Boston blending blues, indie, and 70s rock sounds. Influences include Mt. Joy, Zeppelin, Allman Bros, Hendrix."
• Hot Molasses (11 Williams Court) - "Hot Molasses delivers tunes that pop like the New Pornographers, wink like the Kinks, and bounce like Talking Heads. Named for the great Molasses Flood of 1919. Their raucous live shows will shake your shoes, sweeten your batter, and wake the dawn. "
• Hot Sauce Rhythm and Blues (52 Hinckley St) - What more do you need to know? They're hot, and bring the sauce.
• T and the Wrecks (15 Dimick St) - "Rock and Roll like whiskey

Soul like fine red wine

sometimes soft, sometimes loud,

but Funky all the time"

• Lunatic Neighbor (81 Hancock St) - "Dance Cover band playing the best hits from every decade from the 60s to today. Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk, Madonna, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, etc."
• Midnight Motion (78 Summer St) - "Midnight Motion is a 6-piece Funk, R&B/Soul, Jazz, and Dance band from Boston, Massachusetts. Combining the perfect blend of high-energy vocals with the smooth, sweet sounds of the saxophone - Midnight Motion is a musical delight that will keep you groovin’ all night long."
• Extraño (19 Buckingham St) - "Pop/ Flamenco Fusion band that approaches their compositions by taking influences from modern pop/ rock genres and incorporating traditional flamenco melodies, harmonies, and rhythms to create a brand new style of music."
