Curator Discussion: Too Hor!

Join us for an engaging discussion with Jessica Roscio, curator of Too Hot!, and Jennifer Liston Munson, exhibition designer, as they delve into the intricacies of curating and installing this dynamic exhibition. Too Hot! features works by over 30 artists, showcasing a diverse range of styles and mediums.

Jessica and Jennifer will share their insights on the selection process, reveal unexpected challenges they encountered during installation, and offer a behind-the-scenes look at bringing this exhibition to life at Kingston Gallery.

From Jessica Roscio: “Too Hot! is a discomfitingly relevant topic and the artworks submitted pointedly reflect the turbulence and anxiety of our times. The works in Too Hot! don’t give the viewer much space to breathe, and perhaps we need that feeling of urgency. Pieces in a range of media reference topics such as war, violence, identity politics, reproductive rights, climate change, and how the constant barrage of news about these hot button topics batters our collective psyches.”
